FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Lisa Fischer Comes to The Wilbur

WHAT: On Sunday, April 5th, 2015, Lisa Fischer is coming to The Wilbur in Boston’s historic Theatre District.

Anyone who’s seen Lisa Fischer on stage with the Rolling Stones, Sting, or Chris Botti, or in last year’s Oscar-winning documentary film Twenty Feet from Stardom will know well her astonishing range, flawless intonation, and casual mastery of the stage. But before joining the elite of session and stage backing vocalists, Lisa was an acclaimed recording artist in her own right and the winner of a 1991 GRAMMY Award for Best Female R&B Performance for her hit single “How Can I Ease the Pain.” In his Minneapolis Star–Tribune review of a September 2014 performance, Jon Bream described Lisa Fischer’s voice as “a wondrous instrument that can seamlessly blend classical, jazz, soul, gospel, rock and folk into the same song and sometimes the same sentence…She mesmerized, haunted and seduced with nuance, dynamics and remarkable inventiveness.”
