THE DAILY SHOW WRITERS STANDUP TOUR, AN EVENING OF POLITICAL-ISH COMEDY is a nationwide comedy tour starring the writers and producers from behind the Daily Show. Post standup performance Q&A session with performers. Topics include: the writing process, production of a field piece, how short Jon Stewart really isn’t and more!

Meet Adam Lowitt (@adamlowitt), a four-time Emmy award winning Executive Producer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. As a standup, he has performed on Comedy Central as part of John Oliver’s New York Standup Show and in 2012 was selected to perform at the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal as part of their New Faces Showcase. In 2013, Adam and three other Daily Show staff members were deployed by the USO to the Middle East as part of a USO tour of a two-country morale boosting USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour.

Adam is joined by Matt Koff (@mattkoff), a staff writer on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. As a stand-up, he has appeared on Adam DeVine’s House Party on Comedy Central, and The History Channel series I Love the 1880s. He has toured with such names as John Oliver and Mike Lawrence.
Matt currently lives in Brooklyn, NY without a wife, kids, or even so much as a pet. Pretty sad stuff.

The cast also includes Jena Friedman (@jenafriedman), a stand-up comedian, actor, writer and director based in New York. She is currently a field producer at The Daily Show with Jon Stewart and has written for Late Show with David Letterman. Her work has been featured at SXSW, The New York Fringe Festival, The Glasgow International Comedy Festival, in New York Magazine, Newsweek, Glamour, Salon, Gawker, Time Out New York and on Comedy Central.

Finally, Zhubin Parang is an Emmy award-winning writer for The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. He is the creator of the webseries “Approach The Bench,” produced by Above Average, and his writing has been featured in McSweeney’s, The Onion, and The Morning News.
