A Skeptical Extravaganza of Special Significance is a combination panel show, science quiz, physics demonstration and improv game that’s filled with music and laughter. The show is the live configuration of the top 10 science podcast The Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe (SGU), which has over 850 episodes and more than 140 million downloads. A Skeptical Extravaganza of Special Significance features the Skeptics Guide cast and special guests.

The Extravaganza is hosted by George Hrab. Best known in his home town of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania as the longtime drummer for The Philadelphia Funk Authority, George is internationally beloved as the sparkling personality behind more than 750 episodes of The Geologic Podcast. Ranging in tone from incredibly serious to unbearably silly, his award-winning show features weekly musings about science, music, comedy, and life at large.

The cast includes Dr. Steven Novella, an academic neurologist at Yale University School of Medicine. In addition to being the host of The Skeptics’ Guide podcast, Dr. Novella has a best selling book about critical thinking named The Skeptics’ Guide to the Universe: How to Know What’s Really Real in a World Increasingly Full of Fake.

Dr. Novella is joined on stage by podcast co-hosts: Jay Novella, Cara Santa Maria, Bob Novella and Evan Bernstein.
