Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher will begin their first national tour, Cameron Esposito and Rhea Butcher: Back To Back Tour, beginning on September 21st at The Neptune Theatre in Seattle, Washington. The tour will run through October stopping in 19 major cities around the US.
The tour comes on the heels of Cameron and Rhea being the first gay, married couple to co-create, co-star and co-show run a TV show, TAKE MY WIFE – a critically acclaimed series that premiered in August 2016. The show, which recently wrapped filming season 2, is a heightened version of their real lives as spouses and stand-up comics on the road together.
Cameron Esposito & Rhea Butcher: Back To Back Tour will offer fans the chance to hear about love, identity and that kickass feminist lifestyle from two of comedy’s fastest rising stars, who also happen to be lesbians married to each other and touring the country in a bus.
“Rhea is the funniest person I know. She’s sharp. She’s vulnerable. She lets me borrow her shirts,” said Cameron Esposito. “Cameron is my favorite comic. She’s passionate, laser-focused and she borrows my shirts without asking,” added Rhea Butcher.
Cameron Esposito is a Los Angeles-based standup comic, actor and writer.Named a Comic to Watch by The New York Times, Variety, The Guardian, LA Weekly, Time Out Los Angeles, Jezebel, Los Angeles Magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine, Cameron hosts her own standup show, PUT YOUR HANDS TOGETHER, every Tuesday night at the famed Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre in Los Angeles. Cameron is co-creator and co-star of TAKE MY WIFE, a television series which has gotten rave reviews from The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Vulture and Indiewire. Cameron’s debut standup special MARRIAGE MATERIAL was released in 2016 and her first book is forthcoming from Hachette/Grand Central Publishing. Cameron’s sophomore album, SAME SEX SYMBOL debuted at #1 on the iTunes comedy charts and was named a Best of 2014 comedy album by The AV Club, Consequence of Sound, Laugh Button and Paste Magazine.
Rhea Butcher is a Los Angeles-based standup comic, actor and writer. Originally from the Midwest, Rhea grew up skateboarding the mean streets of Akron, Ohio. Her blue collar brand of cool has endeared her to audiences nationwide, as she performs standup and appears on shows such as @Midnight, Conan, and Adam Ruins Everything. Rhea’s television series, “Take My Wife” premiered on in 2016 on Seeso and her debut standup album, “Butcher” is available now through Kill Rock Stars Records and iTunes. She was named as one of Variety’s 2017 “10 Comics to Watch.
