Libera Comes to The Wilbur

WHAT: On Wednesday, April 1st, 2015, Libera is coming to The Wilbur in Boston’s historic Theatre District.

One of the world’s most accomplished and acclaimed boy choirs, the London-based group, with members aged 7 to 16, has topped charts around the globe with their vivid arrangements and innovative harmonies that stretch the full range of the boys’ voices. Libera is known through their international concert tours, television appearances, and many recordings of their music.Libera’s worldwide concert tours, and appearances on nationwide television stations have brought fans from all walks of life to their music.

Libera is well known in North America through their concert tours and TV appearances including nationwide PBS specials, NBC Today show and Tonight with Jay Leno. The boys had their debut at the Kennedy Center Honors in 2007, where they performed in front of the President and a hall full of celebrities – including Robert de Niro, Cameron Diaz, Diana Ross, Steve Martin and Brian Wilson. The boys were privileged to close the Kennedy Center Honors with a moving tribute to honoree Brian Wilson of the Beach Boys. This was followed by Libera’s participation in the Papal Mass at the climax of Pope Benedict XVI’s first visit to the USA in 2008. Performing to a capacity congregation of 65,000 at New York’s Yankee Stadium. Libera were the only British artists to take part in this historical event.
